“Reflecting on my internship with the People Analytics team at United Airlines, I can truly say that the experience has created a lasting impact on my professional and academic career. As a People Analytics Intern, I collaborated with various teams in the company’s Human Resources and Labor Relations division to support daily extract, transform, load (ETL) processes, data integration, and business intelligence processes. I also applied my academic learnings to create an R-based, statistical analysis tool that supports in-depth hypothesis testing for the People Analytics team. By the completion of my internship term, my technical and interpersonal skills had grown immensely. I am incredibly grateful for the support of my supervisor, Gabriela Valencia, as well as the entire People Analytics team throughout my internship. I have continued to apply many of the learnings from my internship during my time Georgia Tech, and I am confident that I have the skills to succeed and opportunity to grow in all my future professional and academic endeavors.” |
