PhD Career Night with Employers Valuing Doctoral Expertise (In-Person)

This in-person career night is a unique opportunity for Georgia Tech PhD students and postdocs to connect with employers experienced in hiring PhD candidates and postdocs at GT as they recognize the invaluable advantages that PhDs bring to their organization. The evening is divided into two key segments.

4:45 PM: Check-in begins
5:00 -600 pm: Employer career panel discussion
6:00 – 7:00 pm: Networking with employers from a wide variety of industries

Discover potential career paths, gain insights from employer panels, and forge valuable connections during our focused networking session. Don’t miss this chance to explore a range of industries and connect with employers who understand the value of your PhD journey.
Light refreshments and beverages will be provided. RSVP is not required but appreciated!

Tesla will be visiting campus on Monday, October 21 to connect with students regarding internship / co-op opportunities on the Vehicle Firmware, Electronic Devices, and Energy departments. The session will begin with an introductory presentation (30-minutes) followed by breakout chats to ask questions with the engineers representing roles and organizations of interest.

Shumaker 2025 Patent Agent Internship Program Informational Session

The Shumaker 2025 Patent Agent summer internship program is offered to rising seniors or graduate students who are enrolled in a qualifying engineering and/or hard science degree program.  Please join some of our esteemed patent attorneys and patent agents as they provide further insight into exploring a career as a patent agent, details about the summer internship program, our undergraduate diversity science scholarship, and answer any questions you may have!

 

The interns will work in the law firm’s Charlotte, NC office. More details about the internship and scholarship opportunity can be found at shumaker.com/careers or via this link. We are unable to provide sponsorship for the internship opportunity.
