Accepting an out of state Co-Op position, especially in a different discipline than my undergraduate degree, was a decision that initially made me uneasy. However, I don’t regret my decision in the slightest and would choose the same path if the clock was rolled back two years. My time at Rolls-Royce has been invaluable for discovering my academic and career goals, allowing me to learn about myself in a way that traditional summer internships likely would not have accomplished. I was honored to be awarded the Wohlford scholarship, giving me more freedom to pursue my newfound ambition for a PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related field. |
