Undergraduate Student Co-op and Internship Award Winners

This past December 2023 I completed my third and final software engineering co-op term with Kudelski Security in Atlanta, markedly one of the most memorable parts of my Georgia Tech experience. Before starting at Kudelski, I had very little knowledge of software in an industry setting. However, I did know my coursework and project experience had given me strong technical skills, I was curious about software engineering under a security lens, and I was excited to explore everything in the CS realm. Kudelski provided all of this – a space for intellectual and professional growth, so I knew by the end of my first Summer that I wanted to complete all three rotations with them. But different from my coursework, I received feedback from stakeholders and could measure the real-world impact of my work on people and systems, which was both motivating and rewarding. Moreover, income from my co-op and part-time job alleviated the financial burden of education. And thanks to the co-op program’s schedule of alternating between school and work rotations, I was able to study abroad in Barcelona for the Summer 2023 term. My co-op experience has granted me a wealth of mentors, friends, and memories that are lifelong.I am proud to be completing my undergraduate degree with a year of professional experience thanks to my co-op, and I am beyond appreciative to have been granted the Wohlford scholarship. I am excited for the opportunity they have provided me, empowering me to learn fascinating things and contribute to the rapidly advancing tech spaces
