“My time as a co-op with The Timken Company provided me with a plethora of technical knowledge and professional skills to apply in my final semesters at Georgia Tech and life. Throughout the co-op experience, I was able to build up my leadership approach in projects and clubs, my newfound interests in certain technical areas, and my professional communication/networking skills. Getting work experience early in my academic career through my co-op allowed me to see how certain technical concepts would apply to the real world while taking related courses at Tech. Overall, my co-op experience has truly shaped my time at Georgia Tech and has better prepared me for my future career. Whether due to leadership, technical knowledge, or communication skills, being a co-op will lead me to become a better engineer. Due to the Wohlford Scholarship, my last few semesters at Tech will exhibit some financial relief and I am grateful to have been a recipient.” |
