“Last spring, I interned with Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of J&J. By working on a leading innovation team within the Global Development sector of R&D, I interacted with people from all over the globe in transforming the clinical trial space. Some of my contributions to the team include shaping Janssen’s Global Sustainability Plan, creating an Alexa app skill and help desk training for an Achromatopsia study, and co-project managing a study that transforms Patient Reported Outcome Surveys into 3 modalities: electronic survey, chatbot experience, and voice AI interaction. Working in a company like J&J has taught me the importance of ethics through dedication to the credo and purpose. In a patient-centric environment, every action is carefully scrutinized from compliance for trial protocol to digital health. One of my favorite Janssen projects concerns the Informed Consent Form (ICF) that participants must sign before beginning their clinical trial.” |
