Brief Description of your duties:

– Provided individualized career advising sessions focused on career development and professional documentation for over 200 students annually
– Conducted research and provided proposals on how undergraduate and graduate programs and services, and marketing strategies can be improved
– Facilitated outreach workshops to departments and students groups on introductory career and professional development topics
– Collaborated with career counselors to improve professional development workshops based on student needs and feedback

As a career peer advisor, I’ve impacted numerous students’ career paths annually through individualized advising and workshops. This role has deepened my connection to the Georgia Tech community, highlighting the value of contributing to students’ professional development. Collaborating with career counselors to tailor our services has underscored the center’s dynamic approach to meeting student needs. For me, the Career Center isn’t just a workplace; it’s a platform where I can significantly contribute to students’ success, fostering a profound sense of achievement and community belonging.
