All-Majors Campus Recruiting Best Practices
The Georgia Tech Career Center welcomes employers to take advantage of scheduling on-campus interviews following the All-Majors Career Fair.
Employer Tip: It is helpful to students when employers post job or internship opportunities on CareerBuzz prior to their on-campus interview date to help them better prepare and research your company.
On-Campus Recruiting (OCR)
Once your CareerBuzz account is created, you can create and request your on-campus interview schedule. Interview rooms are limited and may not be available if the request is submitted 24-48 hous before the date requested. During peak times, we encourage employers to provide alternate dates and times when submitting their OCR request just in case your preferred date is not available.
- Log into your CareerBuzz account and choose the OCR tab.
- Select Schedule (in the drop down fields there is an on-campus and virtual schedule) and then Request a schedule.
- Determine your preferred OCR schedule type from Preselect, Preselect to Alternate or Room Only.
– Preselect to Alternate means you will be using Symplicity to assist with building your schedule. Additionally, you will need to attach a job, internship, or co-op opportunity to the interview request for students to apply. If you have selected the preselect option, we cannot approve your schedule without attaching your job announcement.
– Room Only allows employers to create their own schedule and reserve the rooms only. Please email your student schedule to employerconnections@career.gatech.edu no later than 24 hours before your interview date.
- During peak times, we will only be able to approve 6 rooms max for the same employer each day.
- Please allow 2-3 business days for your request to be reviewed and approved. Delays in the approval process may occur if information is missing from your request, holiday breaks, on-campus career center signature events, illness, and/or any other unforseen circumstances.
Editing or Canceling your OCR
In the event, you need to edit your OCR schedule, log back into your account, select the OCR tab, select schedules, and then click on the 3 dots to select “edit”. We will review your request within 2-3 business days. If you need to cancel your on-campus visit, please email employerconnections@career.gatech.edu and alert students directly who may have signed up for your interview.
