Brief Description of your duties:
As a Graduate Career Peer Advisor, I provide comprehensive support to students as they navigate their career journeys. I offer personalized guidance in critical areas such as crafting impactful resumes, cover letters, and portfolios, along with strategic support for job searches, interview preparation, and effective networking techniques. Through weekly drop-in hours and individual appointments, I tailor advice to meet diverse student needs, while also hosting workshops and contributing to career-related materials. Additionally, I collaborate with students on refining their communication skills for professional settings and assist in preparing impactful written career documents. By connecting students to campus resources, I aim to empower them in their academic and professional development. Above all, I am here to remind every student facing challenges that they are Yellow Jackets and go-getters—with the grit and dedication to achieve whatever they set their minds to.
