Depending on the occasion or workplace, business professional attire may be expected. Candidates are often expected to wear business professional attire for career fairs and interviews. In general, business professional attire includes many of the components listed below:

BUSINESS CASUAL ATTIRE
Business casual attire is worn in many workplaces. In general, business casual attire includes many of the components listed below:
- Polo shirts/collared shirts
- Button-down shirts
- Blouses (long & short sleeve)
- Dress or skirt
- Slacks/khakis
- Jacket/cardigan
- Dress shoes
- Loafers/flats

SMART CASUAL ATTIRE
Some workplaces or occasions do not require business professional or business casual attire. Some industries, like many in technology, prefer for candidates to wear smart casual attire to an interview. Smart casual attire usually includes components of business casual or business professional attire as noted below:
- Blazer, polo shirt, or button-down shirt
- Dark colored jeans/skirt with no holes or cut offs
- Nice non-branded tennis shoes; some athletic shoes may be acceptable
- No T-shirts, shorts, crop tops, message shirts, leggings, tank tops, or overly revealing clothing
