Iteeah Pounds started her career in Corporate America as a Human Resources and Training professional. Currently, she is the new Internship & Co-op Program and Operations Manager at Georgia Tech’s Career Center. Prior to her new role, she was employed with the Georgia Tech Research Institute on the Student Recruiting Team and was responsible for student recruiting and programming. Iteeah began her Higher Education Career at the University of West Georgia where she connected employers to students for career and internship opportunities.

Iteeah is proud to say that in 2009 she developed and presented the first diversity training “Diversity Includes Me Too!” for the City of Douglasville’s Police Department. She has also been a Workforce Development Trainer for several non-profit organizations and community groups.

Iteeah has made a personal commitment to make a difference in the community and have a positive impact on its future. As a result of this commitment, she is actively involved in various professional and community organizations such as the Immediate Past President, National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Northwest Georgia Chapter, Immediate past Chair for the West Georgia Regional Library Board in Douglas County, Douglas County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Douglas, Class of 2016 and the National Association of Colleges and Employers Management Leadership Institute Cohort 2017 participant.

Iteeah received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Clark Atlanta University and a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling, College Student Affairs from the University of West Georgia.
