Imposter syndrome often shows up most intensely during the job search process, especially when students doubt their skills despite clear evidence of competence. In this workshop, we will explore Gill Corkindale’s definition of imposter syndrome and examine why many high-achieving individuals struggle to internalize success. Participants will learn how chronic self-doubt and perfectionism may impact interviews, networking conversations, and application materials. This event will take place Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 1:00–2:00 PM via Zoom.

We will discuss practical strategies to quiet imposter thoughts and strengthen confidence both during the job search and in workplace environments. Students will walk away with tools to recognize internal barriers, reframe negative self-talk, and present themselves confidently to employers. Whether you experience imposter syndrome regularly or only in unfamiliar situations, this session provides insights to build healthier professional self-belief.
