1.) What company have you co-oped with?
2.) What were some exciting assignments you worked on?
I was able to be a part of several exciting projects, but I especially enjoyed working on New Product Development projects. I was able to run my own feasibility study, which included sourcing material from our plants, working with our quality engineers and regulatory bodies, and planning batches with R&D. It was a great learning opportunity for me to be fully responsible for this study since I was not only using what I learned in school to analyze the data and make decisions about worst case samples, but I was also able to use my management skills to coordinate the study.
3.) What was your favorite thing about the co-op?
My favorite aspect of my co-ops was being able to see all the different ways to apply my degree. The company I worked for was very supportive of co-ops connecting with employees, and I was able to meet people doing vastly different jobs with my same degree. It reinforced how well Georgia Tech prepares you for basically anything and also reminded me that there are so many opportunities out there.
4.) What are your future plans and how did your co-op influence them?
I am returning to Johnson & Johnson as an associate engineer. I am actually working with some of my co-workers from previous co-op terms.
