1.) What company have you co-oped with?
2.) What were some exciting assignments you worked on?
One project was to apply a class I took at Georgia Tech, called Network Analysis, to analyze the relationship between different Cox products as nodes on the network, in order to build an effective product recommendation strategy. This project was truly pushing me to think outside of the box, to convert theoretical knowledge into real-world business application.
Another project was pricing process automation and optimization, eliminating redundancies and improving efficiency. I was tasked with converting a manual pricing process in Excel into an automated Python script, and built an application so that my manager could use the app to do pricing instead of having to pull different Excel spreadsheets manually.
3.) What was your favorite thing about the co-op?
The growth opportunity with the co-op was truly rewarding. I started my first rotation in Fall 2022 and since then, I have been doing 6 back-to-back rotations with Cox. The company has provided countless opportunities for co-ops to get exposed to different business functions, to gain visibility and develop relationships here. That is also accompanied with special intern events like Atlanta Hawks game, kart racing events, etc. I greatly appreciate the learning experience I’ve had with Cox.
4.) What are your future plans and how did your co-op influence them?
Upon graduation, I am doing my Masters in Analytics while working full time for Cox as a data analyst. Completing the co-op program opened up doors for me and definitely helped me secure a full-time offer with the company I’ve enjoyed working for. My co-op experience also shaped my understanding of what role and position I eventually wanted to do (i.e. to be a data analyst).
