1.) What company have you co-oped with?

Delta Air Lines

2.) What were some exciting assignments you worked on?

As a Simulator Engineering Intern at Delta Air Lines, I had the opportunity to implement changes and new features on commercial flight simulators used for pilot training. Some of these projects included correcting an anti-icing module for the GE CF6 engine on a Boeing 767 flight simulator, adding presets to automatically configure the simulator for pilot lessons, and fine-tuning the behavior of a simulated tug for pushback operations. I also received training to operate and fly the simulators, allowing me to ensure the flight behavior met engineering specifications following modifications.

3.) What was your favorite thing about the co-op?

My favorite aspect of the co-op was being able to independently identify areas where engineering operations could be optimized and creating software tools to streamline workflows. One of the tools I created automated the process for technicians to schedule their shifts, improving the efficiency of shift management.

4.) What are your future plans and how did your co-op influence them?

My future plans are to pursue a career in Guidance, Navigation, and Control within aviation. At Delta Air Lines, I gained hands-on experience with aircraft technology and grew my passion for aviation, particularly its engineering challenges. I hope to contribute towards advancements in flight safety and reliability that will shape the future of transportation.
