Angela Keys recently moved back to her hometown of Atlanta after living in Chicago. During her sixteen years as a “Chicago-Lantan”, Angela earned her BA degree in Communications with a concentration in Radio/TV/Film at DePaul University. She first fell in love with the college administrative life when as a student, she worked as a tutor, an office assistant, and a peer mentor in the Office of Academic Enhancement, New Student Programs, and the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs respectively. As an undergraduate, Angela held internships in media, including with Fox News in Chicago and with "Ebert and Roeper & the Movies." As a grad student, she worked as the graduate assistant for the Community Service division of the Office of Campus Activities at Northwestern University, organizing service outings.
Angela earned a Master of Fine Arts in Fiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago, her specialty being the young adult genre. As she was putting the finishing touches on her thesis, she began working as the program assistant in the Office of Fellowships at Northwestern University, where she worked for seven years.
With ever a flair for the dramatic, Angela still harbors the secret desires to be a cast member of Saturday Night Live and to write for one of her favorite forms of storytelling—the soap opera!
